A bit of history …<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometime in the mid 1800s, Anna Russell, the 7th Duchess of Bedford, felt a bit peckish in the afternoon, so she decided to ask her staff to prepare a pot of tea and some light food. It quickly became a daily habit and after sharing this occasion with friends, a new social event was born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lady Bedford had inadvertently invented the Afternoon Tea!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is Afternoon Tea?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afternoon Tea is usually served in the afternoon and consists of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream & jam and small pastries. For drinks, tea, coffee and champagne are traditionally served.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
